What kind of game is it?

Letters entrusted to the sea were torn into five pieces on their long journey. Fish up bottles with Nagi the calico cat, collect the scraps and restore each letter. Six letters drift into each of three places — Tide Cove, Echo Cove and Starlight Cove — for 18 letters in all.

How to play

Tap “Cast” to send your line out to the middle of the sea. After a while the float sinks — tap “Pull” once right away. The cat whips up the rod and hauls the catch out in one go. Pull too early or miss the moment, and nothing bites.

You won’t know what you caught until it’s out of the water. A bottle gives you one scrap of a letter. A fish becomes a treat for the cat and gives you one extra cast. Duds like old boots are recorded under “Finds” in the letter book.

Casts and tides

You can cast up to 5 times. Every 3 minutes the tide changes and your casts refill to 5. When you run out, wait for the next tide. Time keeps passing even while the game is closed. When the tide changes, so do the current and the time of day.

Piecing letters together

Once you have all five scraps of a letter, “Piece together” turns them into a puzzle. Tap the scraps in the right order and the torn edges line up, letting you read the full text and the sender.

Piece together all six letters of a cove and the lighthouse lights up, opening the next cove. You can reread your letters anytime from the “Letter book” on the title screen or in the menu.
