Peekaboo DaysHow to play & tips
Cats and rabbits peek out from little spots around the room. Remember where they appeared and tap to find your hidden friends in this gentle observation game.
What kind of game is it?
Peekaboo Days is a hide-and-seek game where you look for five friends: Black Cat, White Cat, Calico, Rabbit, and Chick. Each one hides in one of the fixed hiding spots, such as behind furniture or in a gap by a window.
Every so often, a friend peeks out from a hiding spot. Their face is only visible for a moment, so try to remember where you just saw it.
How to play
At the start, the “Find the …!” card shows which friend to look for. It closes automatically after a short time, or you can tap it to begin right away.
Then tap the spot where you saw the face. If it is the right spot, you find that friend and move on to the next. A wrong tap briefly stops you from tapping again, so wait for the next peek.
Normal mode has a time limit. Keep an eye on the remaining time and hints. For a relaxed game without a timer, choose Practice. Finds in Practice do not count toward your records or unlock levels.
Levels
Lv.1, “Little Room,” has six hiding spots and a 60-second time limit. Clear it to unlock Lv.2, “3-Story House,” with eight spots and 50 seconds. From Lv.2 onward, other animals also peek out, so make sure you spot the friend you are looking for.
Lv.3, “Secret Garden,” has ten spots and 45 seconds, and introduces lookalikes. Look carefully at face colors and markings to tell the real friend apart.
Tips
- Remember a face’s hiding spot together with a landmark, such as a piece of furniture or a window. That makes it easier to find again.
- A rushed, wrong tap briefly stops you from tapping. Waiting for another peek until you are sure is a useful strategy too.
- Hints are limited. Save them for when you really cannot find a friend.
A note from the creator
I wanted to make a game that offers a little comfort in a spare moment. You can revisit the friends you have found in their profiles, so try collecting them all. The game is available in nine languages: Japanese, English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese.
